PUREWISE water distillers operate by heating water to 212°F (100°C), which kills bacteria, cysts and or viruses that may be present, and converting it to steam. As the steam rises it leaves behind any solids, salts, heavy metals, etc.; low-boiling, light
gases are discharged through the gaseous vent. The steam is then cooled in the stainless steel condenser, where it turns back into high quality, pure water. To further enhance water quality, the distilled water passes through a coconut shell carbon filter to extract any volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and is finally deposited in the unit’s GE Lexan polycarbonate collection/storage
container.
